Couples Group with Cooking Class Component

Bible study and prayer each week, with the final week of the month dedicated to making and enjoying a meal together. Also, once during the fall and winter, the small group will pick a night (in addition to the regular meeting or in place of it) and attend a cooking class at one of the recreation centers (either Juan de Fuca or Cedar Hill).

What a great way to engage in some community living!

Guys group with Woodworking Component

Meets at Bill Message’s shop (277 Durrance Road) to pray and then work on a project for the first hour.  We’ll clean up and then discuss the Bible for the last 45 minutes.

Focus for the fall will be a project for a single mom.

Focus for the winter will be a project for a shut-in senior.

 

A ladies creative small group.

Does your life feel so busy that it’s hard to find time to stop and get those projects done?

Come and develop your individual God-given creative talents while discovering how they reflect the creative character of God.  Our small group focuses on Bible study, encouragement and  connection, while having a ton of fun scrapbooking (and doing other creative projects together).

We will start off with an opening prayer, followed by a short life-applicable Bible study and discussion.  The remaining time will be dedicated to scrapbooking and other crafts. 

We meet Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at 617 Goldstream Ave, beginning September 19.
"DROP-INS WLCOME" Each week is an independant study so if you missed a week of two no problem.

A small group is super tough for Parents with toddlers, preschoolers or primary kids.

Babysitting is expensive but, if you try to have a small group with little ones running around, nothing gets done!  So this is our solution:

6 couples per group + 4 University age girls for babysitting (2 per study).  Every couple chips in $5/night for babysitting and Saanich Baptist Church subsidizes the remainder.

 

Young Couples – 2 possibilities for you!

#1 - A small group currently containing four young couples who would welcome others.

#2  - Young Married’s Group,  led by Pastor Lindsay, has openings for several young couples.  They would love to have you come out.

Monday Adult Small Group

This group, led by Dave Rogers, enthusiastically dives into the Bible.  Couples or singles are welcome to this group.

Wednesday Adult Small Group

A group for couples with high school aged children.  Others welcome.

Thursday Adult Small Group

An inter-generational group that would welcome everyone from younger folks to retired ones.

Retired Folks

We have a great 55+ group that meets in a home close to the University of Victoria.  Wednesday evenings are their time to meet.  Other retirees welcome!
