Mexico Missions

At Saanich we are committed to making a difference globally. We have groups of people that go to different parts of the world to help in practical ways (ie. house building/language work/career development etc.), sharing God's love in both word and deed.

Mexico is one of the places we have really focused on. Currently, we have 3 people from SBC in Mexico serving in various full-time roles: Greg & Alyson Schultz working with IDT Mission's outreaches and some housebuild projects, while Ben Johnson helps hold down the computer systems for IDT as well as helping supervise house builds.

We also send two teams down on short-term missions trips. These teams have built 17 homes in Mexico over the last few years. It has been exciting to see all that God has done as we have gone down to Vicente Guerrero year after year.

In the spring, Chris Synesael takes the youth down on a trip and in the summer time we have a group that heads down in mid-August. The summer group can have a wide age range, there's families and retirees and youth that all make the trip.
