Cristal Alderliesten

Cristal has attended Saanich Baptist Church since she first moved to Victoria in 2002. As a young adult, she found community and met her husband here. Over the years, SBC has been a source of spiritual encouragement, support through difficult seasons, and opportunities to serve.  At the moment, she volunteers as a greeter at the Sunday services and participates in the Cobs bread ministry. 

She values being part of a faith community that welcomes all, nourishes deep Christian spirituality, and serves the good of others. Although SBC does not always do these things perfectly, the intent is there. She knows that God is present and moving in this community, and wants to see what he does next.

Her husband, Gerry, and her have been married for 18 years, and have a 10-year-old daughter. She works as a high school teacher and enjoys gardening, hiking, and reading in her free time.
