The church of Sardis had the appearance of being alive and doing great things, but God saw through the surface and said they was dead. Despite having heard the good news and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit who comes to heal, save, and restore, they had forgotten. Jesus called them to remember what they had seen and receieved and refocus on him.
